Sacred Heart Past Pupils.— The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Sacred Heart College Past Pupils’ Association: President, Mrs M. K. Henderson; vice-presidents, Misses G. Green and C. O’Gorman; secretary, Mrs A. E. B. Turner; treasurer, Miss J. Murray; committee. Mesdames A. P. Aspell, W. F. Brown, M. Carter, E. Mitchell, P. Smyth, L. J. Steel, Misses N. Clarke, E. McManus, L. Owens.
Canterbury Women’s Club. —The Year Circle of the Canterbury Women’s Club held its first annual meeting recently, which took the form of an At Home. The Dominion president of the Pan-Paciflc and South-east Asia Women’s Association (Miss Mary McLean) spoke on the recent Pan-Paciflc conference in
Canberra, to which she was a delegate. Vocal items were given by Mrs R. H. Sherris, accompanied by Mrs H. Wilson. The director of the circle (Mrs E. V. Arthur) extended congratulations to Miss McLean on her recent decoration, and presented flowers to the artists. Mrs G. E. Bielby thanked the speaker and artists.
