Two Years For A. Mullev
fN.Z_P..4 -Reuter—Copyright) SYDNEY, March 27. The Sydney jockey Athol George Muliey was today disqualified for two years by the Australian Jockey Club stewards for malpractice. The stewards reported that they disqualified Muliey for malpractice in that he did not allow the Queensland sprinter, Tiberius, to run on his merits in the Midweek Flying Handicap (six furlongs) at Canterbury on Wednesday Muliey was warned off by the Victoria Racing Club in September. 1958, in connexion with his riding of the New Zealand horse Cambridge in the Australian Cup of 1956. The ban was lifted on February 12. 1960. Muliey said he would make up his mind later whether he would lodge an appeal against today’s disqualification.
