NATIONALIST CHINESE IRREGULAR TROOPS IN LAOS moving towards the Thailand border recently after having been driven into Laos by Burmese armed forces. Subsequently it was reported that these and other Nationalist Chinese irregulars were to be evacuated to Formosa. The evacuation was planned by the Thai and Nationalist Chinese Governments to ease the problem created by thousands of armed irregulars and their civilian followers who have inhabited the Burma-Laos-Thailand border area for the last 12 years.
