HERITAGE’S WORK

More Children Under Care

(N.Z. Press Association) “For the first time in several years the number of children in our care has increased,” states the annual report of Heritage. Last year the 17 branches were interested in 2148 children. There were now 2190 children under their care, said the report. The additional families accepted this year had resulted from the deaths of a number of permanently - disabled servicemen. It was believed that while the work of Heritage would decrease slowly from now onwards, it would have to continue for some years yet because many families under their care would still have young children.
