March 16 “My Fair Lady,” which has entered its sixth year on Broadway, has already earned nearly £l7 million in performances round the world and is the biggest hit of all tjjne, according to the theatrical magazine, “Variety” It has earned more than £6 million on Broadway since it opened there in March. 1956. The London production at Drury lane has made £2.142.000 to date, and money has come pouring in also from productions in other countries, as well as recordings, sheet music, and licence fees. The original backers of the show have so far made a profit of nearly £2.800,000 on an investment of £142.856.
