COMMERCIAL Woolworths (S.A.) Drop To 34s 6d
Woolworths (South Africa), in first Dominion business since February 17, dropped Is 6d to 34s 6d in Christchurch yesterday. Bruce Woollen improved sharply to sell at 61s, 3s above last year’s top price. New Zealand Newspapers, Reid Murray and Transport (Nelson) recovered some of last week’s losses. B.H.P. and Coles rights were also firmer.
Bank of N.S.W., Wright Stephenson, Burnett Holdings, J. Wattie Canneries and Ross and Glendining sold at lower prices.
