Life-Saving WAIMAIRI CLUB
A fine effort by G. Johnson in the final of the women’s belt championship gave her the title when the remainder of the Waimairi Surf Life-saving Club’s championships were held on Sunday. Most of the championships were held the previous week but the women’s four-man alarm event and the women’s belt championship could not be held owing to the high seas. Results were:— Women’s Belt Championship. —G. Johnson 1, M. Duder 2. K. Leask 3. Women’s Four-man Alarm Championship.—C. Graham. P. Clarke, L. teeming, K. Leask 1.
