VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE

Mr A. M. Alcorn For Post In City

(From Out Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, March 20. The appointment of a vocational guidance officer for Canterbury was announced this afternoon by the Department of Education. Mr A. M. Alcorn, who has been with the Wellington Vocational Guidance Centre since 1953, has been accepted for the position.

Mr Alcorn was previously on the staff of the New Zealand Broadcasting Service at Wellington. He was educated at Wellington College, and after service with the Royal New Zealand Air Force returned to his studies and gained a B.A. degree at Victoria University of Wellington. He has been an active member of the Parents' Centre since its inception. He is married, with four children.
