U.S. Seaman Injured In Fall

After an accident aboard ship about 10.30 a.m., a seaman from the United States icebreaker Edisto, at Lyttelton, was taken by ambulance to the Christchurch Hospital yesterday morning and admitted. The seaman, Kenneth Rubadou, married, aged 19. was working from a bosun’s chair on the funnel when the rope broke and he fell to the boat deck. His condition late last evening was satisfactory, although he was still semiconscious.
