Sir George Boag is visiting Christchurch during a New Zealand tour'of Masonic orders under English juris-
diction Sir George Boag snent many years in the Indian Civil Service, from which he retired in 1947. when he was Dewan of the State of Cochin. Mr F. S. Arthur, the London agent of the New Zealand Wool Commission, is on a month’s visit to New Zealand for discussions with the commission, which will meet in Wellington this week. He will also address the electoral college of the Meat and Wool Boards.—(PA) Mr E. Hitchcoclf, who has recently retired from the board of governors of Avonside Girls’ High School, was presented with a book by members of the board at his last meeting vesterday afternoon. Mr Hitchcock was a foundation member of the board Mr R T. Alston, secretary of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association, left for Svdney yesterday on a week's visit to engage entertainment and arrange other attractions for the New Zealand Industries Fair Mr A H. Lee, managingdirector of Lane, Walker. Rudkin, Ltd., will leave Christchurch on April 5 on an overseas business trip lasting 10 weeks. Air Commodore I. C. Morrison has returned to Wellington after three years in command of R N.Z.A.F. headquarters in London.—(PA.)
