By-Elections In Britain
(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON. March 17. The Government retained two Parliamentary seats yesterday at by-elections at Colchester. Essex and Worcester. Conservative candidates were both returned with reduced majorities in contests with Labour and Liberal opponents. Snakebite Death.—A 14-year-old boy, James Cornell, died in Punta Gorda. New Mexico. last night from a rattlesnake bite. He was bitten by a sft long diamondback rattler.—(New York, March 17.)
