MYSTERY ELIXIR
Court Case In Scotland
LONDON, March 9 An 86-year-old pensioner told a Court yesterday that a mystery elixir, "Exultation of Flowers.” had cured cartilage trouble in hjs knee and to prove it he would give a demonstration of his soccer prowess.
Herbert Smith had travelled from London to Nairn, Scotland, to give evidence in the case in which the makers of the elixir were accused of offences against the Pharmacy Acts, the “Daily Mail” reported. A young girl told the Court she bottled the elixir for the makers. She said it was tap water with a drop of "concentrate” added. But Mr Smith said it had cured him. He pulled up his trouser leg and showed the leg which had given him trouble. Another witness said his 15-year-old terrier had been “getting younger every day” with the elixir.
The case against the makers, a retired banker. Alick Macinness. and Mrs Elizabeth Bellhouse, both of Auldhearn, Nair, is continuing.
