Wigram Beats Whenuapai

In the final of the R.N.Z.A.F. inter-station cricket for the Wilson Memorial Trophy, played at Hagley Oval on Tuesday and yesterday. Wigram beat Whenuapai by an innings and 86 runs. Whenuapai failed badly with its batting in both innings making 86 in the first and improving this total by only two runs in the second. In the Wigram total of 183. Barson 36 not out. Tunnicliffe 36. and Nee 29. provided the main batting strength. For Whenuapai. Raddock took seven for 77. Scores:— Whenuapai (J. Tolcher 19, Seymour six for 31: and 88. Raddock 30. George 23; Robinson three lor 23) lost to Wigram 183 (Barson 36 not out, Nee 29; Raddock seven ior 77).
