RACE AT SEBRING

Ferrari Team Entered

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SEBRING (Florida), March 8 The Ferrari factory today announced its offical entry in the Sebring 12-hour international sports car race on March 25. It said the California's, Phil Hill and Ritchie Ginther, would be its drivers. Hill drove a Ferrari to victory at Sebring in 1958 with Peter Collins, of England. In 1959 Ginther teamed with Olivier Gendebien. of Belgium, in a Ferrari to win the grand touring class honours. Hill and Collins established the course record for the distance travelled in 12 hours—--1040 miles at an average of 86 666 m.p.h. The Porsche factory has also entered a team.

Stirling Moss, of Britain, who holds the Sebring lap record of 94.996 m.p.h. in a Maserati, will drive a “birdcage” Maserati in the endurance race this year with Masten Gregory, of Kansas. Tehy have been entered by the Camoradi international racing team. Moss has also entered in a four-hour endurance race for grand touring cars under 1000 c.c. and will have his 26-year-old sister, Pat, as a competitor. Both will be driving Austin Healey Sprites.
