BUILDING THE SCHEME

The firms responsible for constructing the new Kimberley water race scheme are Wilkins and Davies, Ltd., for the tunnelling, the Canterbury Tractor Company, Ltd., of Rolleston, for most of the earthworks and channelling, and Jeal and Skurr, of Oxford, for laying the pipes in the tunnels and an earthworks contract which is still in progress.

The scheme was designed by Messrs H. G. Royds and Sutherland, consulting engineers to the county. Mr Guy Evans, a mejnber of the firm,'- has been the project engineer.
