FAILURE IN SYDNEY

The four-year-old Talkative, which has been campaigning without success in Sydney, will return to Riccarton later this month and rejoin W. N, S. Barr’s stable. Talkative was sent to Sydney with Count Pierre, another horse owned by Mr R. L. McCormack, of Christchurch.

Renamed Pierre in Australis, this big Count Rendered gelding raced well in Sydney. He is now being prepared for the Australian Cup. Mr McCormack will fly to Melbourne next week to see Pierre race.
