Sputnik VII Burns Up
(N.ZJP.A.-Reuter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, March 2. The seven-ton Soviet sputnik VII launched on February 4 had burned up in the earth’s atmosphere. the National Aeronautics and Space Administration announced.
Tracking data indicated that it had burned up.on February 261, about the time originally predicted. But another object, thought to have been ejected or broken from the sputnik, was still in orbit, the agency said.
