State Banquet For Queen In Teheran
(Rec. 8 p.m.) TEHERAN, March 3. The Queen said last night that Britain and Persia shared a spirit of independence which had defeated all attempts over the centuries to infringe their liberty.
The Queen, who was speaking at a State banquet given by the Shah of Persia, said the young son born to the Shah’s "gracious Empress” last October. was heir to one of the oldest and most romantic th r ones in the world. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh received a warm welcome in Teheran yesterday. A golden coach and six high-stepping greys carried the Queen through the streets of Teheran in a glittering ceremonial procession to Iran s Gnlestan Palace.
