' The Canterbury Croquet Association arranged a field day for men recently when a team led by F. Gumsey defeated one led by J. Hewitson by six games to three. Results:— Doubles: F. Gumsey and T. Searell beat J Hewitson and O. Anderson, 36-16; D. S. Turner

S. Turner lost to E. Hoare. 8-26; H. Rogers beat W Penman, 26-24: C Pomeroy beat A. Bruning, 24-23; J Flanagan beat G. McBeath. 26-20.
