Young Woman Still Unconscious

A young woman has been unconscious and on the seriously ill list at the Princess Margaret Hospital for more than three weeks.

She is Miss Elaine Austin, aged 19, of Sheffield, who suffered extensive injuries early on the afternoon of January 28 when two cars and a power-cycle were involved In a collision at the intersection of Carmen and Yaldhurst roads.

The drivers of both cars were killed and eight persons were injured. Miss Austin, who underwent an operation on the evening of the day of the accident, has not regained consciousness since she was injured. Miss Austin's sister, Miss Mary Olivia Austin, aged 21, who suffered head injuries and concussion in the accident, was discharged on February 1.
