Five of the yearlings passed in at auction last Thursday have since been sold. Mr L. J. R. Barrett. of Auckland, who races Damian and Guiseppe. paid 900gns for a light bay colt by Captain Adioa from MaryUgbt offered on behalf of Mr ] H. J. Kelliher, of Auckland. < This youngster, which 1 is eloeely related to Lookaway and Adorian. was passed in at SOOgns on Thursday. The Paramatta Livestock i Agency, Sydney, paid 500gns i for a black filly by U. Scott : from Sailor’s Love offered on i behalf of Messrs P. J. Dugan 1 and Son. of Riecarton. This voungster. which was passed ' in at 475gns. is eloeely related ! to Navy Blue. Petty Officer, i Blue Gamble, Blue, and other i winners. ( A black colt by Stormyway from Watcher, which had been , passed in at 310gns, was se- , cured for 300gns by Mr N. J. < Tavlor. of Auckland. He was , offered on account of Mr J. , M. Connolly, of Geraldine. The Sydney trainer. W. ( Picken, paid 400gns for a > black colt by Meadow Chief from Lucky Knight offered , on account of Mr G. D. Kelly, j of Winchmore. This brother j to Meadow Gem was origin- . allv passed in at 500gns, The Invercargill trainer, C. H G. Irvine, paid 325gns for , a bay colt by U. Scott from • Maori Queen offered on ac- ' count of Mr J. Moore, of 1 Christchurch. He was passed in at SOOgns.
