Eight Fours Travel
Eight Christchurch bowling fours went to Rakaia on Saturday to defend the Langley Cup against the Ashburton Sub-centre. The weather was fine for most of the afternoon but cool rain began later and one or two of the games finished the last few heads in the rain. Christchurch retained the cup by a slender margin of 14 points. Results (Christchurch names first).— W. H. Cooke 19, A. Keith 17; F. W. Larcombe 27, J. Paterson 16; E. J. Woolf 16, G. P.
