Record Price For A A. Bull
Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 9, A New Zealand record price for imported stud cattle has been paid by Mr Donald Grant, of Mangatoro—l2.ooo guineas for an AberdeenAngus yearling bull. Eustace of Derculich. The purchase was made this week at the current Perth (Scotland) sales of attested Aberdeen-Angus bulls and heifers, according to advice received today by the “New Zealand Meat Producer." official journal of the New Zealand stud beef industry. The bull was sired by Eldnon of Haymount and its dam was Eyrene of Derculich. Another high price was paid by the Balfour Stud of Pahiatua—92oo guineas for Newhouse Edwin Elric. a yearling bull sired by Eclipse of Belladrum. Its dam was Newhouse Edwina Eliza. The purchases will arrive in New Zealand later this year.
