New Services

Five ships now at Auckland are developing new services on new routes for the export of New Zealand primary produce. They will take produce to the West Indies, the west coast of North and South America, and to Rabaul and New Guinea. The ships are the Cap Corrientes, the Cap Domingo, the Turakina, the Alaric and the Canterbury Star. The last two ships will be the first ships on the new service to the West Indies and the west coast of North and South America. The Cap Corrientes and the Cap Domingo are operating a frozen meat service to ports on the west American coast. The Turakina will call at New Guinea and Rabaul on her way to Japan.—(PA.)
