H.B. Buys Rotorua Menswear Store
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. February 8. Hallenstein Brothers, Ltd., retailers, will purchase the well-known menswear business of Lindell. Rotorua, together with the land and building situated in Tutanekai street This information was contained in a statement issued by the firm’s head office in Dunedin. As a result of this purchase, Hallenstein Brothers will now operate 36 shops throughout New Zealand. Four of these have been added to the chain in the last 13 months. BUSINESS PERSONAL Mr G. M. Simpson has been appointed manager of the Bank of New South Wales branch in Victoria street He succeeds Mr R. B. Grumitt who has been appointed an administrative officer of the bank and will be attached to the chief manager’s staff in Wellington. For the last five years Mr Simpson has been manager of the bank’s branch at Edendale.
Final Allotment Woolworths. Ltd., has announced that a final allotment of 55330 ordinary share* has been made to the shareholders of Mcllraths Holdings, Ltd. This placement completes the acquisition of the entire capital of Mcllraiths Holdings. The company also advises that an allotment of 100,000 5s shares has been made in connexion with the takeover of the business and assets of the 10 self-service grocery stores operated by Coffeys, Ltd, in Queensland.
