SCHOOL SEA CADETS

Training At Lyttelton Sea cadets from Christchurch Boys’ High School. Christchurch Technical College, and St Andrew's College taking part in the annual cadet barracks week have spent some time this week at Lyttelton. About 90 boys—3o from each school—have been taken on board the R.N.Z.N.V.R. motor launch for training in ship handling, steering, and chart work. Small boat work has been carried out at Cass Bay, and at HJCN.ZB. Pegasus in Christchurch instruction has been given in drill and seamanship. A trip on the Lyttelton Harbour Board’s pilot launch was taken by some of the boys. Today' all the cadets will assemble at Pegasus for a battalion parade on the last day of barracks week. i
