TAKEOVER BID FOR ODHAMS
Directors Advise Refusal

The board of directors of the £4O million Odhams Press Group said tonight they were advising the shareholders against accepting a £32 million takeover bid from the "Daily Mirror” group.
The statement was issued after the board had met under the chairmanship of Sir Christopher Chancellor. A full statement of the reasons would be posted to shareholders tomorrow, the statement said.
