The Duke of Edinburgh, a former president of the British Medical Association, has endorsed Sir Douglas Robb’s proposals for a new, comprehensive Commonwealth medical service as "absolutely first-class.’’ This was revealed by Sir Arthur Porritt, outgoing president of the association. at the conference dinner in Auckland on Tuesday night. He said that an advance copy of Sir Douglas Robb’s presidential speech had been sent to the Duke of Edinburgh.
