Eleven Fours Qualify In West Coast Tournament

GREYMOUTH, February 8. Eleven teams have qualified for post-section play in the annual fours championship of the West Coast Bowling Centre, which will begin tomorrow morning.

No team went through section play unbeaten, although those composed of R. Cooper, J. Gourlay, T. Hodgson, and H. Jennison (Blackball) and E. Gillman, D. Finlay, A. Jenkinson, and C. Higson (Runanga) lost only one of their nine games. In addition to Jennison and Higson, the following skips qualified for post-section play: A. de Lorenzo (Maitai), V. R. Cochrane (Cobden), R. McDonald (Greymouth), T. McKenzie (Westport R.S.A.), S. King (Dobson), F. White (Runanga), J. Douglas (Westport), F. Cropp (Hokitika) and N. Murray (Cobden). One-lifers will continue with Hound 3 on the following greens at 8.30 a.m.:— Sections A and B will play on R.S.A. Green. Sections C and D will play on Fendalton Green.
