Eleven Fours Qualify In West Coast Tournament

GREYMOUTH, February 8. Eleven teams have qualified for post-section play in the annual fours championship of the West Coast Bowling Centre, which will begin tomorrow morning.
No team went through section play unbeaten, although those composed of R. Cooper, J. Gourlay, T. Hodgson, and H. Jennison (Blackball) and E. Gillman, D. Finlay, A. Jenkinson, and C. Higson (Runanga) lost only one of their nine games. In addition to Jennison and Higson, the following skips qualified for post-section play: A. de Lorenzo (Maitai), V. R. Cochrane (Cobden), R. McDonald (Greymouth), T. McKenzie (Westport R.S.A.), S. King (Dobson), F. White (Runanga), J. Douglas (Westport), F. Cropp (Hokitika) and N. Murray (Cobden). Sections E to H will play on United No. 2. Sections I to L will play on Beckenham No. 1. Sections M to P will play on Beckenham No. 2. One-lifers will continue with Hound 3 on the following greens at 8.30 a.m.:— Sections A and B will play on R.S.A. Green. Sections C and D will play on Fendalton Green. Sections E and F will play on Dalllngton Green. Sections G and H will play on Opawa Green. Sections I and J will play on Mona Vale Green. ~ Sections K and L will play on Chch. W.M.C. Green. Sections M and N will play on Barrington Green. Sections O and P will play on St. Martins Green. After three rounds on Saturday morning, all surviving onellfers will transfer to R.S.A.
