RAPE OF NEGRO MOTHER, CHILD
Three White Men Indicted IN.Z Press Assn.—Copyright NEW YORK, Feb 7 Three young white men were indicted in Yazoo City, Mississippi, today, for the rape of a negro woman and her five-year-old daughter. United Press International reported. The District Attorney (Mr William Waller) said he would ask for the death penalty against Louis Coffee, aged 18, his brother, Charles Coffee, aged 20, and Bobby Smith, aged 21.
The Coffee brothers were accused of assaulting the child on November 16 last year on a plantation near Yazoo City, and Smith was accused of raping the 45-year-old mother.
