DROVE THROUGH BRICK WALL
Sequel To Quarrel With Girl Friend (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 17. After an argument with his sweetheart. Larry John Eastham, aged 18, a workman, drove his car across a Johnsonville intersection with the throttle wide open and deliberately crashed through a brick wall, according to the prosecution in the Magistrate's Court at Wellington today. Mr C. Rainey said Eastham told the police he had had a row with his girl friend and was driving home when he saw the brick wall. “ ‘The brick wall was there and I was going through it—right or wrong,’ he said.” Eastham, who pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, was fined £l2 by Mr S. Hardy. SM.. His driving licence was suspended for four months. >
