Mission Launch Feared Lost
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) DARWIN, January 17. A 50-foot launch heavily laden with supplies for Northern Australian coastal mission stations, is feared lost in a cyclone which has battered the coast for 36 hours. The launch sailed by Mr W. Peters was expected to reach Cape Don, on Melville Island, 100 miles north-east of Darwin, at 9 p.m. yesterday. The 60 miles an hour gale lashed the sea into waves which would have made it difficult for him to make for shelter.
