Llanmai, an outstanding winner as a three-year-old last season, won at his first attempt at one mile-and a quarter in the Wyndham Cup. main event at the Wyndham Racing Club's summer meeting today. w pen he outclassed a strong field. Not well placed early, he was the only runner in it over the final furlong. The Wyndham Cup was the first teg of the T.A.B. double. The track was greasy for the early racing, but it dried out for the later events. There was a large attendanceThe totalisator handled £42.842. compared with £35,918 10s. J. R. Dowling, rider of the winner. Fire Bar. was charged by the stipendiary steward tor causing interference to Magic Casement <G. Foster) about a furlong from home in the Kiwi Hack Handicap. After hearing the committee found Dowling guilty of the charge and fined him £5. Irving Bros, were fined £5 for the late scratching of Caravel in the Wyndham Cup. in the President's Handicap about three furlongs from home Carbonett lost her rider. R. N. Marsh. According to the patrol steward at the half-mile, there waa no horse near her at the time to contribute to the fall. Marsh was examined by a doctor and found to be suffering from slight concussion. He was stood down for the day. Brianbra, ridden by B. E. Kennedy, also slipped and nearly fell and lost considerable ground, the going being particularly greasy at this part of the course.
