Life-Saving Australians Outclass Wellington Team
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. January 2. The touring' Australian surf and life-saving team was more than a match for the Barbarians at Lyall Bay. Wellington, on Saturday and completely outclassed the Wellington provincial team at Titahl Bay on Sunday. The Barbarians, a team containing several New Zealand representatives. could not match the Australians in the finer points of the drill. With only a moderate surf at Lyall Bay and overhead conditions excellent. the Barbarians were deprived of any assistance they might have derived from the weather, and the Australians ran out clear winners by 12 points to 6.
