Queen Gets The Wrong Number (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, January 1. The Queen telephoned Princess Margaret in Ireland tonight the “Daily Express" reported. She got through to Dooly’s Hotel, instead. Birr Castle, where the Princess is staying with her mother-in-law, the Countess of Rosse, is Birr 23. Dooly’s is Birr 32. According to the newspaper, the conversation went like this: Voice: Sandringham here . . . Can I speak to Her Royal Highness? Dooly’s: Who is speaking? Voice: It’s the Queen here. Dooly’s: Which number are you ringing* Voice: Is this Birr 23? Dooly's: Tm afraid you have the wrong number. End of conversation.
