TRADE FAIR IN SYDNEY
Groups Seeking Information (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 30. The Government, manufacturers, and other trade groups are waiting for more information on Sydney’s proposed £20,000.000 trade fair next August; before deciding whether New Zealand will be represented. Various spokesmen made this comment today on surprise expressed by one of the fair organisers (Mr G - L. Clist) in Auckland that the Government had declined to stage an exhibit. An Industries and Commerce Department spokesman said In Wellington today that no decision had yet been made by the Government about representation at the fair. The spokesman said Mr Clist wa~ due to have talks with departmental officials in Wellington about mid-January.
