NEW RADIO COMEDY
“The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, December 18. A new comedy by the Auckland poet Allen Curnow, “The Overseas Expert,” will probably be given its first performance on the radio next year. The Auckland Theatre Workshop was to have staged the comedy this year to coincide with the publication of the poet’s Book of New Zealand Verse, but the C.A.S. director, Ronald Barker, said that it had not been possible to cast the play adequately before Christmas. It would be held over for a major production next year.
