Lawn Tennis M. Rose To Coach Italians

The former Australian Davis Cup player, Mervyn Rose, has been engaged to help the Italian Davis Cup team's preparation for the challenge round in Sydney from December 26-28. The Italians’ coach, Jaroslav Drobny, said last night he had recruited Rose because the Italian players, Nicola Pietrangeli and Orlando Sirola, were faced with the problem of overcoming the awkward services of the lefthanders, Neale Fraser and Rod Laver. Rose, now a professional, Is one of Australia’s greatest lefthanders.
