Results Of Evening Meeting
The Christchurch Technical College Amateur Athletic Club continued its evening meeting at Ensors road last evening. The best performances were 8.7 in the women’s 75 yards by Miss L. Anderson, and a high jump of 5:1 by Miss V. Sloper and Miss L. Curtis. D. Minards ran the senior 100 yards in 10.2, P. Taylor, winner of the under-17 880 yards and one mile championships last season, returned the good time of 10.4 for the junior 100 yards. R. T. Rose, coming out of retirement after two years, threw 139:10 in the senior hammer throw. A surprise of the meeting was the defeat of the Canterbury junior hammerthrowing representative, W. J.
