After travelling through parts of the South Island, Major David Hiralal ,of India, describes New Zealand as one of God’s own countries and its people as very sympathetic. Major Hiralal, who
is a male nurse at the Salvation Army Hospital at Anand, in the state of Gujarat, India, left Christchurch for Wellington last evening. He will spend three months working in a Wellington hospital. For the last six months he has been a male nurse in the operating theatres at the Burwood and Christchurch Hospitals“My visit to New Zealand will enable me to take back ideas and methods of plastic surgery, and for this I want to thank C.0.R.5.0, which made the visit possible,” he said. “The hospital I come from has 150 beds, and is one of several in Anand.” Major Hiralal is the second nurse from his hospital to come to New Zealand.
