McCartney Cup

The New Zealand Athletic, Cycling and Axemens Union’s trophy, the McCartney Cup, for the sportsman of the year, has been awarded for 1960. Mr J. T. Kelly, of Opotiki, Bay of Plenty, is the winner. He is an axeman, who also takes an interest in the administration of bushcraft events.

Last year, the cup was won by the secretary of the Tinwald Cycling Club, Mr J. Tate.
