The council’s profit on the two tests played at Carlaw Park and the Auckland game will be about £lBOO. Other approximate gross gates and net council returns were:—v. Waikato, at Huntly, £7OO gross, £6l profit; v. Taranaki, at New Plymouth, £339. £l3 loss; v. Wellington, at Wellington, £433, £25 loss; v. Canterbury, at Christchurch. £2OOO, £334 profit; v. West Coast, at Greymouth, £ll9l, £166 profit; v. New Zealand Maoris, at Rotorua, £ 1076, £9 loss. “These figures are most gratifying,” said Mr J. D. It was also decided that the national coaching school next year would be held in Christchurch and would coincide with the visit of the Australian team so that a match could be included in the Australians’ itinerary.
