CURRENT NOTES
Bryndwr C.W.l.— The November meeting of the Bryndwr Country Women’s Institute took the form of a birthday party. Memories of the 1914-18 War were revived as part of the entertainment. Guests were presented with Red Cross parcels in place of sprays. Mrs K. G. Comly presided. After the cake cutting ceremony was performed by Mesdames H. G. Holmes, E. V. Roberts, and M. Morton, members of the choral and drama groups entertained. Mesdames C. D. Newton and N. Candy returned thanks on behalf of the visitors. Ballet School.— Miss Peggy Van Praagh. artistic director of the Australian Borovansky Ballet, will take part in the first summer school of ballet to be sponsored by the New Zealand BaUet Trust in Wellington in January. Mr Richard Campion will direct the school and Sara Neil. Paul Gnatt, Russell Kerr and Walter Trevor wiU conduct classes and rehearsals. —(P.A.)
