Athletics John Thomas Clears 7ft
(A T .Z. Press Association—Copyright) BEDFORD (Massachusetts), December 4. The world record high jumper, John Thomas, returned to competition for the first time since the Rome Olympics yesterday, and cleared 7ft. Thomas had been in training for
less than a week before competing in an informal athletic meeting in Bedford. He missed 7ft 2in only by a hair’s breadth.
