WHITCOMBE AND TOMBS
New Secretary Appointed
Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd., announced yesterday the appointment of Mr P. E. Bourne as secretary to the company. At present the company’s Wellington manager, Mr Bourne will take up his new duties at head office in Christchurch towards the end of January. Mr Bourne, who Is 38. was educated at Wellington College and Victoria University of Wellington. He Is a Fellow of the New Zealand Society of Accountants, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries, and an Associate of the New Zealand Institute of Accountants. He served with the Royal New Zealand Air Force from 1941 to 1946, and joined Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd, In 1949. He has lectured in accounting at Victoria University and been an examiner for the University of New Zealand and the Chartered Institute of Secretaries.
