Driver Admitted To

’ Ashburton Hospital

A motorist was admitted to the Ashburton Hospital suffering from injuries to his nose, after the car he was driving crashed into the side of the Rakaia river bridge yesterday morning. The injured man is Mr Stuart James McCausland, aged 66 years, of 28 Faulkland street, Dunedin. His condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory. Mir McCausland was driving south across the bridge and is believed to have had a “black-out.” The car crashed into, and damaged, the concrete railing before coming to a stop. Mr McCausland was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Cyclist Injured In Collision A cyclist suffered limb injuries yesterday, when the bicycle she was riding was involved in a collision with a bus at the corner of Armagh and Colombo streets about 6 p.m. The cyclist. Miss Josephine Hay, of 332 Durham street, was treated at the Christchurch Public Hospital and sent home.
