Fall To Ground From Parapet

A carpenter employed on a building project in' Cashel street suffered concussion and shocks when he fell 12ft from a parapet to the ground yesterday afternoon. He is Dennis Doody, aged 21, of 29 Therese street, Spreydon. . Mr Doody was working on the construction of new commercial premises when he fell from the parapet, landing on his stomach on the ground. He did not regain consciousness for several minutes. He was taken by St. John ambulance to the Christchurch Hospital, but was able to go home after treatment in the casualty department.
