Led Hiroshima Atom Bomber

WACO (Texas), December 5. The pilot of the reconnaissance plane which guided the first atomic bomber over Hiroshima has been missing from the Government hospital for former servicemen in Waco since November 22. hospital authorities said today. The former pilot. 41-year-old Claude Eatherly, who also carried out a similar assignment over Nagasaki when the second atomic bomb was dropped, has been a mental patient at several hospitals since his discharge from the Air Force as a major in 1947.
