Ralph Symonds, Ltd., factory and machinery designer and builder, earned group net profit of £152,558 for the year ended June 30, an increase of £28,451, or 22.9 per cent. The previous year’s profit had risen £15,830 to £ 124,107. The present result, from a preliminary statement, is after tax, amortisation and depreciation.' Ordinary dividend, unchanged at 12 'A per cent., the rate paid since 1956, takes £81,250. It is paid on capital increased by the June, 1959, issue, ranking fully, and the January, 1960, issue and shares issued for the Beale takeover, both of which rank for 2t4 per cent. Preference charge 6 per cent, needs £ 6000, making total dividend charge £87.250, or £65.308 less than the profit.
