NORWEGIAN ROYAL ENGAGEMENT.—King Olav with his daughter, Princess Astrid, and her fiance, Mr Johan Martin Ferner, aged 33 years, who manages his father’s store in Oslo. Princess Astrid, who is 28 years of age, has been acting as first lady of Norway since the death of her mother, Crown Princess Martha, in 1954. She will continue her Royal duties after her marriage. Mr Ferner has been married before, and his wife has since remarried.
